Pandora Morcas, a multilingual singer songwriter started her showbiz career as singer and dancer for HAIR in a Greek theatre in Athens. She moved from Greece to France in 1984 and has coached hundreds of students in finding joy in singing and creating repertoire as well as accompanying on guitar Today Pandora sings every second Sunday of the month at 20.30 at Theatre de la Main d’or and gigs around Paris. She continues coaching and is in the process of setting up a weekly group singing lesson to take place in the 20th arrondissement Pandora sings Chez Adel Wednesday 26th April from 8 to 10 pm: 10 rue de la Grange aux Belles, 75010 Paris

Tim Smith, resident of New Orleans, offers a slide show and a real feel for what the city was like, and is like now, after Katrina. Tim, an oil engineer is a resident of New Orleans, currently on assignment in Paris; He is also a photojournalist. He has worked all over the world.

Sultry New Orleans Jazz Vocalist Leah Chase Shares All: Reminisces.
Stories, Anecdotes

Describing the Leah style on her CD: AT LAST : Her deliberate,
silky-smooth rendition adds new flavor to the old school classic, while
inspiring listeners to push the replay button.

Her artistry is sensual and soul stirring. Leah is a versatile singer,
who makes a smooth transition from jazz-laden love songs such as Love
Me Again to the up tempo In This Town. She wants the audience to feel as
if they have actually lived the song along with her. A very
visual performer, Leah quickly establishes a warm rapport with her
audience. She exudes latent but smouldering sensuality that is comfortably
blended with an excellent comedic sense.

A second-generation musician, Leah is the daughter of famous New
Orleans restauranteurs Dooky Chase, Jr. and Leah Chase. Her Father, Dooky,
once led a big band in New Orleans which also performed abroad. Her
maternal namesake, Leah Sr., is an engaging dynamo of activity and chief
chef at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant. Her father Edgar (Dooky) Chase was
the leader of the Reminisces Dooky Chase Orchestra and the sound of his
trumpet filled their New Orleans home.

Leah Chase graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans with a
degree in Vocal Performance. She completed one year of graduate study at
The Juilliard School in New York, before leaving to pursue her true love Jazz.

She is currently an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of New
Orleans in the Jazz Studies Division.

We had a great soiree last night. All went well and there was a great turn out. George Nelsen came along and gave us a few tunes on his trumbone and as usual the food was great. Due to increasing demands for my recipies I am considering collaborating with Tom Byrne to produce a St Louis en L'ile cookbook.
