ABOUT ED WALTERS:

Ed Walters was a Casino Boss throughout the Rat Pack years. He began working in casinos at a very young age. The legendary entertainers of the Rat Pack worked with Ed at the Sands Hotel and in working with them, he got to know them well. A mutual respect grew especially between Frank Sinatra and Ed and they became friends. Ed will share his experiences about how Las Vegas got started, took off and the great, world famous, and also legendary talents that played there. He is always very honest and brutally frank and has great stories about how the Mob worked to make Las Vegas successful. Any question that you ask Ed, he will answer. The mob, Marilyn Monroe, JFK , Judy Garland, many bigger than life stars and other celebrities. He met them all. And, of course, The Rat Pack …..Whenever Ed is in Paris, he speaks at our dinners. What a treat! His talks are exciting, original and are the talk of Paris.”

Former Casino boss Ed Walters originally answered emails about Frank Sinatra on The Frank Sinatra Mailing List (known as the Temple list). These stories were called The Pit Boss Replies, because they were in direct response to questions someone from The Temple List would ask Ed. Many found it fascinating to hear first-hand how Sinatra and his friends really behaved at The Sands. New The Pit Boss Replies stories appear to this day on The Temple List and on The Voice Mailing List (an invitation-only group).

Author Tom Rendour asked Ed if he could share these stories with cyber fans via his Songs By Sinatra website: http://www.songsbysinatra.com/. Ed agreed, and now they are there for everyone to enjoy.
The bulk of these Stories From Vegas are as they appeared originally on The Sinatra Mailing List

Stories you have never heard before that will give you a better understanding of what made Sinatra tick
