Our Special Guest is Ed Walters, former Sands Hotel Casino Boss in Las Vegas and protégé of Frank Sinatra.

This is Ed's 7th talk for us. He always has fascinating new stories about these legendary performers.

He doesn't make them up. He recounts his experiences as a very young man, when he worked with Frank Sinatra and his entourage, friends and associates in Las Vegas. Ed was quoted the February 2015 issue of Vanity Fair about his relationship with Frank Sinatra.

I find it fun and almost pleasantly hypnotic to hear insider stories about personalities that I've always admired and been fascinated by:

Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, JFK, Robert Kennedy, to name a few. Ed has just the little story to endear and bring to life these icons. You feel as though you were there in the same room with them:
a description, a word,  the memory of a gesture.

And of course, there's The Rat Pack itself: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford.

Always new and fascinating stories about larger than life people from a special era, the 1960s.

Ed Walters was a Casino Boss throughout the Rat Pack years. He began working in casinos at a very young age. The legendary entertainers of the Rat Pack worked with Ed at the Sands Hotel and in working with them, he got to know them well. A mutual respect grew especially between Frank Sinatra and Ed and they became friends. Ed will share his experiences about how Las Vegas got started, took off and the great, world famous, and also legendary talents that played there. He is always very honest and brutally frank and has great stories about how the Mob worked to make Las Vegas successful. Any question that you ask Ed, he will answer.
