Our Guest of Honor
Raoul Malhotra
London Based Scholar And Comedian Visiting Paris
Raoul Malhotra is a young British Asian (India) currently in Paris in his gap year. Next year he will attend LSE (The London School of Economics), but is currently completing course work for his Ph D in life. Over the last year or so, Raoul has taken a capricious approach to Bollywood in an effort to improve his Hindi. Looking at Bollywood from all angles, he will be discussing his own attitudes to Indian cinema, and its marketability all over the world. Frequently asked questions such as "Do all these movies really need to be 4 hours long?" and "Why do they sing and dance at the most inappropriate times?", will be looked at as Raoul attempts to deconstruct the myths and legends of Bollywood.

[5]. However, unlike Hollywood, Bollywood does not exist as a physical place. The term "Bollywood" has origins in the 1970s, when India overtook America as the world's largest film producer...
