FROM THE SUBTLE RHYTHMS OF JAZZ TO HARDEST HITTING RHYTHM AND BLUES.
We'll hear all about Napata and play musical excerpts from her live performances around the world. We'll hear about her show band: "Napata and the Chocolate Kisses."
Napata Mero has performed from the U.S. to a wide range of foreign countries around the world. Having performed professionally since the age of 11. At age 15, she was signed to her first recording contract with the legendary "Jerry Butler" of the Curtis Mayfield "Impressions." Her first recording hit #65 on the 100 hit song list. From the ripe age of 9, Napata has dreamed of performing and living in Paris, France. Her dream was realized in 1982 when she was invited to perform at Midem in Cannes France. She has returned every year since, as a favorite, performing at Jazz and Blues Festivals around the world, from Tunisia to China and back to her Beloved City Of Lights, "Paris." January, 2013 was the beginng of the second half of her childhood dream, when she arrived in Paris with plans to Stay!
