Mooneer was born in Africa in the 1980s and grew up in Cameroun, Tchad, Nigere, Sénégal and Canada before coming to Paris in 1999. As a student, he became involved with groups thar influenced the development of his style. He wants his music to touch people and reflect his particular mix of cultures .. He is greatly moved by Tracy Chapman and is seeking a way to express to others what he feels when listening to her: "She touches my heart... " .
